Spurred Rain Frog (Pristimantis calcarulatus)

Fortunately for me, the herpetologist who helps run this reserve was with us when we found this frog, and he knew very well how to identify his reserve's herps.

The Spurred Rain Frog

"Pristimantis calcarulatus" is a species of frog in the family Strabomantidae. It is found in Colombia and Ecuador. Its natural habitats are tropical moist montane forests and rivers. It is threatened by habitat loss.
