Common Ostrich foot or Struthio camelus
The ostrich has a very unique foot and talons. The ostrich is the world's fastest land bird, reaching speeds of 45 mph. Unlike most other birds that have three or four toes, ostriches have two-toed feet, with a large claw-like nail that helps them grip the ground for maximum speed. The talent is also used as a deadly effective defense against predators even such as lions. A smaller toe helps with balance and stability, especially during sharp turns.

The ostrich or common ostrich is either one or two species of large flightless birds native to Africa, the only living member of the genus ''Struthio'', which is in the ratite family.
