Vieira's Snail-eating Snake (Sibon vieirai)
I was particularly happy to see a few individuals of this recently-described snake, because it was named after Jose Vieira, who had been one of my guides on a 2023 trip to Madagascar. Jose is the single best herp-finder I have ever known.

Sibon vieirai is an arboreal snail-eating snake known from Ecuador and Colombia. It was split off from Sibon nebulatus in 2023.
