Rainbow lorikeet or Trichoglossus moluccanus These birds are gorgeous with their bright, vivid colors and playful characteristics. It crossed my mind for a second that I should get one as a pet because I know someone in our neighborhood who sells them.<br />

After some research, it only took me a moment to realize I didn&#039;t want one of these birds. They are very noisy and squawk continuously through the day. Some pet owners recommend you line your walls and floor with plastic because they splash their nectar. Owners have also recommended that the birds have a larger cage in which to fly. At least 4 feet wide and 3 feet tall. Finally, they live for 30 years in your home. Nope, don&#039;t want one of these birds! I have already raised six kids and don&#039;t need another.
