A quick I phone shot of two little fairy penguins by their burrow on Phillip Island, just off the Victorian coast.
Eudyptula minor is also commonly known as little penguin and blue penguin.
These are the smallest species of penguin. It is a marine neritic species that dives for food throughout the day and returns to shore at dusk.
Just 30 cm in height.
The Little Penguin is the smallest species of penguin. The penguin, which usually grows to an average of 33 cm in height and 43 cm in length, is found on the coastlines of southern Australia and New Zealand, with possible records from Chile.
