  1. kirst, as a starter tip: if you know the species on the photo, you can try to identify it using the "identify species" button to the right. Note that if you do, be specific enough. For example, a "Bear" is not a species, it is a group of species. However, a "Brown Bear" is a species.

    In this community we try to identify the species on as many photos as we can, it's a real community sport :)

The common wombat , also known as the coarse-haired wombat or bare-nosed wombat, is a marsupial, one of three species of wombats and the only one in the genus ''Vombatus''. The common wombat grows to an average of 98 cm long and a weight of 26 kg .
