
Larva of the caddisfly 'Limnephilus flavicornis'
I recently posted about the larvae of the caddisfly 'Glyphotaelius pellucidus' which also goes by the common name the Mottled sedge, which also has aquatic larvae.
If you compare the video of that species with this (filmed in 2019) you'll see the quite dramatic difference in the architecture of the respective cases.
I'm not aware of any common name for Limnephilus flavicornis, but its lifecycle is no less remarkable.
