Larva of the caddisfly 'Limnephilus flavicornis' I recently posted about the larvae of the caddisfly &#039;Glyphotaelius pellucidus&#039; which also goes by the common name the Mottled sedge, which also has aquatic larvae. <br />

If you compare the video of that species with this (filmed in 2019) you&#039;ll see the quite dramatic difference in the architecture of the respective cases.<br />
<br />
I&#039;m not aware of any common name for Limnephilus flavicornis, but its lifecycle is no less remarkable.<br />
