
Basket fern
They have two distinct kind of fronds. Long green fronds carry the spores for reproduction and photosynthesis. Short brown fronds protect the root system and gather nutrients.
They are home to snakes, birds, frogs and insects and sometimes other plants germinate in the nutrient rich basket.

Aglaomorpha rigidula is a species of ferns in the subfamily Drynarioideae of the family Polypodiaceae.
