    Last weekend I was happy to encounter for second time this beautiful creature. An not only one - two of them. This one, which was about 15 cm, obviously a young one. And a second one, about 22 cm long. In Bulgaria it is protected specie according to The Berne Convention, Appendix III. Posted 11 years ago

The Fire Salamander

The fire salamander is possibly the best-known salamander species in Europe. It is black with yellow spots or stripes to a varying degree; some specimens can be nearly completely black while on others the yellow is dominant.
