  1. The Caribbean is famous for its crazy Anolis radiation, of course, and they are indeed everywhere on the island. But thanks to inaturalist, I also knew that PR has a bunch of Sphaeros, tiny geckos that live in the leaf litter. And with a bit of poking around, I was delighted to find a number of them! They really stretched the capacity of my camera, and some I only managed to photgraph with my cellphone, but I really had a great time with them. Posted 8 months ago

"Sphaerodactylus townsendi", known commonly as the Townsend's dwarf sphaero or Townsend's least gecko, is a small species of lizard in the family Sphaerodactylidae. The species is endemic to Puerto Rico.
