Common marmosets, Epe Zoo I wouldn't mind seeing these in the wild instead. They are very social, busy, expressive creatures. They spend most of their time carving their teeth into trees, after which they drink the juice. They live in groups, where only the dominant female will breed. The common marmoset is a New World monkey. It originally lived on the Northeastern coast of Brazil, in the states of Piaui, Paraiba, CearĂ¡, Rio Grande do Norte, Pernambuco, Alagoas and Bahia.
