    1. This one is funny because it was not a target nor did our guide call it out with any excitement. I figured it was just a common bird to find around feeders.

      Great thing about my ignorance is that I get a sense of wonder and surprise long after the trip :)

The black-headed tanager is a species of bird in the family Thraupidae. It is found in the Andes of northeastern Colombia and the Venezuelan Coastal Range.
