Ophrys ariadnae is an orchid species that is endemic to Greece. Closely related to Ophrys cretica, it is found in the Cyclades, Karpathos and in Crete, and is named after the tragic princess Ariadne, daughter of the mythological Cretan king Minos, who helped Theseus through the Minotaur's labyrinth, only to be abandoned by him once after left the island.
