Mantises always impress me with their amazing ability to disguise themselves and mimic their surroundings. What an extraordinary creation of nature! Added to my list: Mimicry - a way to survive!

Indeed, love finding them and quite a few of them are pretty unique especially those with defensive postures, incredible sights to see them flash their wings.

The Mantis itself is very well camouflaged, especially on the moss, and they are small in size especially the smaller nymphs can be only 1 - 1.5 cm in size. But once I know the tree they can be found on, I know how to find them easily, not by sight but by movement. And the Frog itself was a surprised find as they are also well camouflaged and rarely seen.
