The False-Plumed Thistle

Onopordum carduiforme is a spiny plant in the Asteraceae family. it can be annual or biennial, and sometimes perennial. it is 50-150 cm tall, and endemic to the levant region - Israel, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan. it is a rare species, due to habitat destruction. It grows on sandy soil.
