    1. Snake did strike out once or twice, not touching cat. Snake took off across street into thick vegetation. Happy ending. Next time LOL, I must anticipate the strike and catch it with high shutter speed. Thanks. Posted one year ago

Coluber constrictor flaviventris, commonly known as the eastern yellow-bellied racer, is a subspecies of the eastern racer, non-venomous colubrid snake. It is endemic to North America.
