  1. Love the insect being fully in focus against the soft flower background and am wondering if there is a small stack?

      This is single shot, at quite a small aperture, f/16 I think. Have to do it from memory because this lens does not report its aperture value used in EXIF.

      I very commonly use a "pre-macro" approach for skittish subjects that I'm unlikely to successfully focus stack. Sometimes I then crop back in, although in this example barely so.

      I will also admit that I'm not really an in-field focus stacker. I've always considered that to be a studio approach but that view seems increasingly outdated :)
