      Thanks. It took some effort to isolate just a few…. 5 or 6 stacks from different angles with different lighting, then some selective combination of shots in the best stack, then some blurring out of extraneous stuff in photoshop… I’m not entirely satisfied with it but I need to draw a line somewhere. Posted one year ago

The Common Chicory

Common chicory, Cichorium intybus, is a somewhat woody, perennial herbaceous plant usually with bright blue flowers, rarely white or pink. Various varieties are cultivated for salad leaves, chicons (blanched buds), or for roots (var. sativum), which are baked, ground, and used as a coffee substitute and additive.
