A glorious Bee-eater, 1st seen in this very small reserve, just over 25 km2. We had the unplanned opportunity to visit here because of the closure of the Awash National Park. It was a lovely little park.

The Ethiopian bee-eater is a species of bird in the family Meropidae. It is found in Ethiopia and Sudan. It was formerly considered a subspecies of the blue-breasted bee-eater.
