Sunshine winter flowering wattle A glorious burst of sunshine yellow in the bush during our cooler winter days, Acacia terminalis were flowering in profusion on the walks I took when in the Blue Mountains.

Aptly named sunshine wattle, this species is native to the eastern states of this country, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania. Growing to a shrub or small tree with an open habit. Foliage is bipinnate.
I read that there are around 1350 Acacia species around the globe, and close to 1000 of these are found in Australia.
