  2. Great colours & details!
I assume you used an underwater camera? Or do you own an underwater housing?

    1. Thanks. Actually, this Starfish was inside an acquarium. I'm glad you didn't think it was :)

I used a high iso of 3200 so I could still get it sharp without a tripod in low light.

      1. Haha, fooled me!
And wow for the good quality @ 3200 ISO....

        1. That's the best thing about my new Nikon D7000. All photography books tell you to keep the ISO as low as possible, this camera doesn't seem to care much. It is fantastic in low light conditions. Posted 14 years ago
  3. I assumed you were "Under the Sea" too! Wonderful Shot~ the Colors are Gorgeous. Posted 14 years ago

  4. Today's Facebook post:

Mouths are up for discussion today! Click the photos to learn why these creatures have magnificent mouths! #JungleDragon

Starfish can eat outside their body! Their mouths, which are located on the underside of their bodies, are tiny. The problem is that starfish like to eat clams and snails, which are large and have hard shells. So, once a starfish catches its food, it pries the animal’s shell open slightly, and then it does something really cool: it spits its stomach out through its mouth and into the shell of its prey! It digests the creature and then slides its stomach back into its own body. This feeding mechanism allows them to eat prey much larger than would otherwise be possible. {Red-knobbed Starfish (Protoreaster lincki) by Ferdy Christant} #Starfish #Protoreasterlincki #RedknobbedStarfish
