One morning in Kibber wildlife santuary we spotted a snow leopard asleep in the valley below. We waited till late evening before she decided to move. To our surprise she was joined by two of her cubs. She played and rolled in the snow along with the cubs as we observed them.<br />

The snow leopard, also known as the ounce, is a felid in the genus "Panthera" native to the mountain ranges of Central and South Asia. It is listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List because the global population is estimated to number fewer than 10,000 mature individuals.
