    1. neat isn't it.. and it appears I was lucky to be in that spot during a cloudburst.. it apparently uses ultraviolet vision to hunt with, so it lands and rests when the sun is not out. Posted one year ago

Dragonfly-like insect with large bulging eyes and strongly knobbed antennae. Neuropteran in the family Ascalaphidae. Milky owlfly (Libelloides lacteus), amongst other European owlflies, is a rapidly-flying neuropteran insect which hunts in open country for other flying insects.
