      1. It is kind of hard for an animal to understand whether we intend to help or kill them. Recently I had to apply medicine to our cat's swollen eye. 3 times a day. A thankless and dangerous job, to say the least. Posted 14 years ago

Sheep are quadrupedal, ruminant mammals typically kept as livestock. Like all ruminants, sheep are members of the order Artiodactyla, the even-toed ungulates. Although the name "sheep" applies to many species in the genus ''Ovis'', in everyday usage it almost always refers to ''Ovis aries''.
