Sea Turtle sideview
Like other reptiles, turtles are ectotherms-their internal temperature varies depending on the environment, which is commonly referred to as cold-blooded. Nevertheless, the leatherback sea turtle is much higher body temperature than the surrounding water due to the high metabolic rate.
The loggerhead sea turtle, or loggerhead, is an oceanic turtle distributed throughout the world. It is a marine reptile, belonging to the family Cheloniidae. The average loggerhead measures around 90 centimeters long when fully grown, although larger specimens of up to 270 centimeters have been discovered.

Posted 14 years ago, modified 14 years ago
