  1. I love how the focus blends into softness, and the symmetry of the composition. Posted one year ago
    1. Thanks Jon! I used a white mist filter to get the effect. Posted one year ago
  2. Dreamy appearance and a mystical look. I could see this one on Getty images and enlarged to wall size for fine art. I have never used a filter other than a UV light one. Maybe I'll give it a try Posted one year ago
    1. Thanks William. I usually only use a UV filter as well, but recently decided to experiment a bit. The white mist was my first choice. There are different intensities of white mist filters, and black mist is an option. I think it's intended for portraiture, but I like the soft look that it gives flowers.

I don't know what you use for photo editing software, but you can add mist to your photos with Photoshop. I played around with this tutorial, but there are many others online, including videos on YouTube.

      1. Thanks Christine. I use an open-source editing program called GIMP. Don't let the open-source name scare you off. It is a powerful editing software that has most of the features of Photoshop including mist and fog. Posted one year ago
        1. Interesting...I just looked it up and it has a lot of nice features. Posted one year ago

Anemone acutiloba is a wildflower in the Ranunculaceae family. It differs from the closely-related blunt-lobed hepatica (Anemone americana) in having more acutely pointed leaf lobes.
