Toucan Barbet (Semnornis ramphastinus); Bellavista, Ecuador
Not the most perfect photo regarding sharpness.
But hey, it was our second day in Ecuador, with only the clothes we had worn on the plane (luggage still being somewhere between Europe and Quito), constant rain, camera getting wet from the inside - but nevertheless a gorgeous early morning for birdwatching.

The Toucan Barbet is a distinctive bird found in humid forests growing on the west Andean slopes in north-western Ecuador and south-western Colombia. While it remains fairly common locally, it has declined due to habitat loss and trapping for the cage-bird trade.
