
The fire-eyed diucon is a passerine bird of South America belonging to the tyrant flycatcher family Tyrannidae. It is the only species placed in the genus "Pyrope". It is found in central and southern Chile, southwestern Argentina, and Tierra del Fuego. Vagrant birds have occurred just eastwards of Tierra del Fuego in the Falkland Islands.

I think all the tanagers and hummingbirds are living in Colombia. I see dozens of each every day :-)

Yes the tropical Andes are really the kingdom of tanagers and hummers. Once it switches to temperate in Chile and Argentina, these guys really get scarce. Posted one year ago
