    1. Glad you like him! This was the first lizard of the trip, and I photographed him almost as an after-thought. It was only when I got back to my hotel that I became aware of Chile's treasure trove of Liolaemus.
      Funnily enough, a few days later I spent a morning near the actual type locality of Baños Morales in hopes of seeing that exact species, being unaware that I'd already photographed it!

"Liolaemus valdesianus" is a species of lizard in the family Iguanidae or the family Liolaemidae. The species is endemic to Chile.
