GREEN HONEYCREEPER Although I only saw a Green Honeycreeper once before----in Trinidad---the bird stands out in my sightings. I can not think of other species of birds where the species is named after the female.<br />

The Green Honeycreeper is a small bird in the tanager family. It is found in the tropical New World from southern Mexico south to Brazil, and on Trinidad. It the only member of the genus "Chlorophanes".
