Solandra grandiflora
The Solandra grandiflora is a shrubby plant with leathery foliage that is planted in public gardens in the Canary Islands. It blooms with very large flowers. This plant is very similar to the Solandra maxima but is distinguished by a less sharp line pattern in the calyx.
"Solandra grandiflora" is a member of the nightshade genus "Solandra" and, like the other members of the genus, is a climbing plant with large, attractive, trumpet-shaped flowers. It is native to Central America and northern South America and is widely grown in the tropics as an ornamental.
