Tipuliforma triangulalis, Minggre, Arfak Mountains, Papua

Looks similar to Maruca vitrata, but I don't think it's a full match. Glyphodes sp. also has candidates.

  I guess my lesson learned here is that some species are exclusively reported in New Guinea whilst also occuring in Papua whilst not being yet recorded there. Posted one year ago

      Extra confusing: I've seen the term "West Papua" used to refer to all of Papua, Indonesia. And I've used it like that myself. But it seems incorrect, the modern convention seems to be that it's one of the provinces only.
      
      Fine, so now you might think that "Papua" would cover all provinces of Papua, Indonesia. But it doesn't, it's everything except that West Papua.
      
      So that's why it's impossible to search for all of Papua at once and similarly you can't search for all of New Guinea (the geographical entity) at once as this is not a single political entity.
      
      So yes, 3 separate searches needed :)
