A Drake Ringed-neck Duck. Supposedly these ducks are regular visitors to the lakes and ponds on Cortes Island but few sightings are actually recorded. Lucky to see a small flock on this beaver pond. With all the standing dead trees the wait was long before one came out in plain view. A first for me. Aythya collaris,Canada,Geotagged,Ring-necked duck,Winter Click/tap to enlarge Promoted
