Puerto Rican Tody
My favorite bird in Puerto Rico is the endemic Puerto Rican Tody, "San Pedrito" ("Little Saint Peter")
Not only is he omnipresent, very colorful and very visible, he is so incredibly patient with photographers. This one stayed in one spot for a very long time. I just blended the background in the image to make the bird stand out.

The Puerto Rican tody is a bird endemic to Puerto Rico. It is locally known in Spanish as "San Pedrito" and "medio peso".

Currently 4,841 bird species of more than 10,000 bird species known to science.
It is possible to look up if we already have a species. The above page has a search box, if you type the species name in it, it will show results. If there are no results, it means it's not yet documented here.
My advise is to just upload what you have, whether it is new or not, having multiple photos of the same species is a good thing.

I see from the page (Brilliant and Beautiful Shots) that William Bodine created and just added my Tody to, that members seem to be able to create pages. Is that right?
If so, and IF I can figure out how to do it, may I create a page entitled something like First Timers?
But it will not be for 2 weeks...or more. I will be off to bird in Colombia on Sunday and will just post what I am seeing.

If you want to know which species you personally introduced to JungleDragon, there's no need to do that manually, it's available here:
