After searching for it unsuccessfully in various places, including pine forests in Belize and white sand forests in northern Peru, I finally saw it... in a busy city park in Bogota, of all places! Posted one year ago
As for the owl, in fairness I had a friend who lives nearby and is an owl biologist show it to me, never would have found it otherwise. Posted one year ago
Owls are challenging to find. The only ones I find on my own are Burrowing Owls as they are awake in the day and in full view outside their burrows. Posted one year ago
Ah as for owls, I definitely agree. I know some proper experts who have an uncanny talent for finding roosting owls hidden deep among conifer branches, but I usually have much better luck finding them at night. Posted one year ago
