American Goldfinch - Spinus tristis I&#039;ve created the tag &quot;talking to birds&quot; for some of my bird photos. I noticed that when I talk to birds, most tilt their heads and appear to listen. It&#039;s comical and very cute. This bird was so funny -- compare the two photos. This is the one I took while I was talking to it. I've created the tag "talking to birds" for some of my bird photos. I noticed that when I talk to birds, most tilt their heads and appear to listen. It's comical and very cute. The American goldfinch

The American goldfinch, also known as the eastern goldfinch or "lightning bird," is a small North American bird in the finch family. It is migratory, ranging from mid-Alberta to North Carolina during the breeding season, and from just south of the Canadian border to Mexico during the winter.
