
Orange net-winged Lycid beetle
Beetles within family Lycidae are commonly known as net-winged beetles.
This Australian species is known as the long-nosed Lycid beetle as it has elongated facial elements and mouthparts and it uses these to feed on nectar.
Porrostoma rhipidius, 20 mm body length.

Porrostoma rhipidium is a net winged beetle found in the eastern states of Australia. Usually near the coast it is commonly known as Long-nosed Lycid Beetle due to it's unusually elongated mouth parts (for the family)
