
Mantidfly Spaminta minjerribae
What curious little insects mantidflies are. Within family Mantispidae and order Neuroptera (net-winged insects).
These adult mantidflies capture and eat their prey in a similar fashion to praying mantis, snatching up the prey with the raptorial forelegs and then eating with strong, chewing mouthparts.
Spaminta minjerribae can be found in the east here in Australia.
Around 15 mm body length.
