  1. Why is it a favorite? Posted one year ago
    1. It brings me good memories from childhood. I spent many, many summer days lying down among moss and wildflowers while reading. Buttercups, johnny jump ups, and bluets were the most common flowers. They are all common, but simple and beautiful. Posted one year ago

"Ranunculus acris" is one of the more common buttercups across Europe and temperate Eurasia. Common names include meadow buttercup and tall buttercup. The plant is also known as an introduced species across much of the rest of the world, including Australia.
