Episyrphus balteatus the Marmalade Hoverfly
This little fellow was obviously attracted by the sun today and the temps of eight degrees celsius to explore my loggia. I was astonished to see it. It was a very small edition of this species which is quite common during spring, summer and autumn.

"Episyrphus balteatus", sometimes called the marmalade hoverfly, is a relatively small hoverfly of the Syrphidae family, widespread throughout the Palaearctic region, which covers Europe, North Asia, and North Africa.
