White-cheeked Turaco in Juniper tree Travelled to Ethiopia in hope of seeing Turacos and then found that we couldn't go to the planned areas where we stood a chance of seeing them.  However our guide came up trumps on a one day dash to Debre Libanos - Absolutely gorgeous bird!!  This is the nominate race, identified from "donaldsoni" which has its crest tipped with a dull crimson.  It is a near endemic with a very small range in SE Sudan.     1. Thanks Thibaud, it was great - and better still there was one small area left where we could travel to try for the Prince Ruspoli and that's to come. Magnificent!

The White-cheeked Turaco is a species of bird in the Musophagidae family. It is found in Eritrea, Ethiopia, and Sudan. A mid-sized species is measures 43 cm in length, including a tail of 19 cm, and weighs 200–315 g.
