evergreen wood fern

"Dryopteris intermedia", the intermediate wood fern or evergreen wood fern, is a perennial, evergreen wood fern native to eastern North America. It is a diploid species, and is the parent of several species of hybrid origin, including "Dryopteris carthusiana".
