Mitostoma chrysomelas is a harvestman (Opiliones) in the family Nemastomatidae. For a Nemastomatidae it has relatively long legs and exceptionally long palps, but the body is only average sized (1,4-2mm). The palps are covered in special hairs ending in a small drop and the abdomen is covered in peculiar mushroom shaped tubercles.
