Not seen as often as other mantis species probably due to the colouration and venation which can mimic certain vegetation and of course, its diminutive size. <br />

Commonly known as snake mantis due to the long, slender form and venation which resembles snake skin. Natural range is the east coast of this country. <br />

This is an extremely small species, with adults reaching just 25 to 30 mm in length. <br />

To my eyes, it appears as if made of glass. <br />

This mantis species is restricted to the East Coast of Australia, Is difficult to find due to its small size (little more than 2.5cm/1 in for an adult) and pale green coloration that closely matches the leaf color of many Eucalyptus and Angophora species where it locates.
