Rockpool Shrimp (Palaemon elegans)
Sometimes I forget the UK is surrounded by water and that I live near the sea, because of course, the sea is (still) full of life, including these little beauties just feet from the shore at certain times of the year, when the tide goes out.
Read all about them here:

Palaemon elegans sometimes known by the common name rockpool shrimp, is a species of shrimp of the family Palaemonidae. It is native to the eastern North Atlantic (including Macaronesia), the Baltic, the Mediterranean and the Black Sea, and introduced in the Caspian and Aral seas.
