Black Redstart
A female black redstart photographed at Lake Cerknica in Slovenia. I went out for sunrise shoot at the lake but the wind disturbed water surface and I didn't got any decent shots. Later when I was bathing in sunlight at the lake shore I noticed how close the birds were getting to me. I spent the next two hours photographing them, simply sitting there and enjoying the day.

The Black Redstart "Phoenicurus ochruros" is a small passerine bird in the redstart genus "Phoenicurus". Like its relatives, it was formerly classed as a member of the Thrush family, but is now known to be an Old World flycatcher.
