      2. So far I have identified all the photos of Grape Hyacinth as Muscari botryoides, but there may as well be other species among them. As the article suggested by Claire says - M. botryoides is virtually indistinguishable in appearance from M. armeniacum and other species are also very similar. It is like trying to identify a blue butterfly...

Muscari botryoides is a bulbous perennial plant plant of the genus Muscari and one of a number of species and genera known as Grape Hyacinth. It is sometimes grown as an ornamental plant.
