Sugar loaf rock This is a large natural granite rock that rises out of the Indian Ocean. It is separated by a thin channel of treacherous water that separates it from the mainland! It is one of the most photographed rocks in Australia and has appeared on the cover of National Geographic magazine. It is a nesting site for seabirds and the most southerly nesting site for the red-tailed tropic bird! Alas we didn’t see any today! Australia,Geotagged,Spring Click/tap to enlarge
