Common Ground Dove, Palm Cay, New Providence, Bahamas, 17 Aug 2022 Common Ground Dove photographed at Palm Cay, New Providence, Bahamas, 17 Aug 2022. I saw several of these birds, and true to their name, I mostly saw them foraging on the ground. They all were a dark reddish-brown colour. This one was a bit of a rebel with its light grey colouring (aside from the underside of the wings) and hanging out atop some razor wire that was on top of a wall surrounding the marina.
