
Seashore Springtails - Anurida maritima
These springtails are scavengers and will eat dead animals that they find in tide pools. Here they seemed to be feeding on a couple insects that found their way into the water.
Habitat: Found in a small pool in the intertidal zone during low tide

''Anurida maritima'' is a cosmopolitan collembolan of the intertidal zone. It is often found in aggregations of up to several hundred on the surface of rock-pools.
